The buddy system plus one
I remember when I was young people with authority had what they called the buddy system. The buddy system was used when ever there was a bunch of kids in a situation when we could get in trouble or get hurt. The system involved us grouping together in pairs
Thinking back on this I believe they had the system for a reason, ease of safety. The authority figures job was to make sure all the kids in a group were safe, and your job (as the child or student) was to stay with your buddy and make sure they were safe. When the buddy system was done correctly the difficulty of the teacher’s job was cut by half.
We have a little different take on this buddy system idea.
Everyone in our plan has to be responsible for everyone else in the group. At any given time you should know where at least two other people in your group are, and they should each know where two other people are. Think of it as though it is a pyramid, we suggest drawing it out and keeping copies around for easy placement during an event. If two people of the group are out, at least two other people know where the first two are at all times. We feel this is the best way to keep track of members within your survival group during an event. In later updates we will provide you with a diagram on this system.
